[he doesn't sound incredulous. he can believe this after meeting the other robots.]
Well, I was concerned that they haven't taken all species into consideration with these new limitations, just the humanoid ones. I heard you guys specifically might be having trouble with your fuel?
I haven't settled in enough to figure out what we're going to do about fuel, but there are quite a few of us on board. I imagine if we pool our intellect and resources, we can figure out how to overcome.
Your...concern for our race is appreciated. And you do raise a valid point: it seems this ship was meant to accommodate more organic species.
Ah. Sorry to jump that on you, man. If you need some rejuvenation just let me know and-- ah. Uh. I mean, I can give you a hand with anything if you need it. That previous offer is rescinded.
[he feels a little bad for this guy, tbh.]
I told Starscream if he wants to bring it to the captains I'll help him. Everyone deserves a voice, especially so if there might be bias against them.
[He falls quiet after that. He knew another Voice once. A good friend. A good comrade. A Voice that could rally the Autobots when morale was at its lowest. A Voice that took it upon himself to fight a battle simultaneously on all fronts, using nothing but the power of hope and perseverance.]
Having a voice...especially one that can stir people into action...is a gift. I would...
I would prefer you do not use such on me. But rather on those that deserve it. Those that need it. Those without the nerve to find their own voice.
Re: [VOICE]
Our captains seem perfectly reasonable. What are your concerns? Perhaps I can alleviate some of them.

he doesn't press it or show it when he replies.]
Of course, man. Stay safe, alright?
Re: [VOICE]
What is your name? I responded to the call from the Riptide incident, but...I never received your name.

Re: [VOICE]
...No matter what happens, please.
Let your voice ring true to your spark.
Er.
Heart.
I'll be listening.
